Access to international films not easily available is one of the benefits of this film festival.

Don’t miss which will also be shown during this festival.

Okaeri Tora-san”

The “Tora-san” series of films is one loved by the Japanese. Even with the passing of Kiyoshi Atsumi, the popularity of these films lives on. The stories covering fifty years of these films will be released in Japan in December. Directed by Yoji Yamada (Japan Movie Director Association member).
The movies cover the Showa era (1926~1989; we are currently in the Reiwa era). These series are a must for understanding the make-up of the Japanese who have created today’s Japan. A unique style of bonding called ninjyo is warmly depicted in these films.
